What is Dream Appy?
DreamAppy is a simple digital tool I originally built for myself — something I could use half-asleep in the middle of the night with as little “wake-up effect” as possible.
No searching. No typing.
Just tap an icon, dictate your dream, and drift back to sleep.
It records, dates, gently translates, and — if you choose — lets you easily share dreams with people who featured in them. The book and guide, Don’t Lose Your Dreams, exists to explain the thinking behind it all and help you explore things more deeply, in your own time.
Why does it exist?
Years ago, I had a vivid dream about someone I barely knew — on the very night they passed away.
It wasn’t frightening.
It stayed with me as something quietly beautiful.
It left me with a lasting sense that our subconscious may connect to people and moments in ways we don’t yet fully understand — especially at night. Dreams are something every person on the planet experiences, yet they remain one of the least understood frontiers of the mind.
DreamAppy exists to help gently capture and reflect on that space — not to explain it away, but to listen to it more clearly.
A gentle note on meaning
I personally believe our subconscious uses dreams to help us learn, process, and grow. But tuning into that isn’t always easy — and sometimes a little structure helps.
This isn’t about predictions or answers.
It’s about noticing patterns, emotions, and connections — at your own pace.
Technology doesn’t replace intuition here. It simply helps you slow things down and see them more clearly.
Why keep it mostly free?
Because stories and shared experiences are the backbone of DreamAppy.
If you’ve ever had a dream that felt meaningful — especially one involving someone you care about — you already understand why this matters. I genuinely love hearing those stories, and if you feel like sharing one, you’re always welcome to reach out via socials.
That shared curiosity is what keeps this whole thing alive.
Who’s behind it?
I’m just an artist from the UK.
Much of my work has explored dreams, symbolism, and free-form surrealism, and this grew naturally out of that process.
I have no medical training, and DreamAppy is not therapy or medical advice. It’s simply a reflective tool — one I use myself — shaped by years of creative self-exploration.
Personal growth can sometimes come with a few growing pains, especially if you’re new to mindfulness or self-reflection. That’s normal. But if you’re ever truly struggling, please reach out to trusted loved ones or trained medical professionals.
There are some genuinely wonderful people out there whose job it is to help.
